Headed by Eclipse Award sprinter Kona Gold, a field of six swifties was entered Friday morning for Sunday's 56th running of the grade II, $200,000 Bing Crosby Breeders' Cup Handicap at 6 furlongs on the main track.

Kona Gold's chief competition as the nation's top sprinter, Caller One, will try to outdo the 7-year-old son of Java Gold, who has six straight wins to his credit, in the dash. Caller One, a 4-year-old son of Phone Trick, who is two-for-two this year, scored his biggest career triumph by capturing the $2-million Golden Shaheen Stakes in Dubai in March.

Kona Gold, carrying high weight of 126, will be spotting his foes from two to 14 pounds. Caller One will tote 124 pounds, including Corey Nakatani, and will start from the inside post. Kona Gold will be ridden by his regular reinsman, Alex Solis, from the outside post.

Planning to test the dynamic duo in the featured eighth race are Swept Overboard, who will carry 115 pounds, including Chris McCarron, from post 3; Freespool, at 115 pounds, with Isaias Enriquez from post 5; Hollycombe, at 115, with Gary Stevens leaving from post 4; and Ceeband, at 112, with Matt Garcia from Post 2.
