Six 2-year-olds breezed an eighth of a mile in :10 flat May 8, the second workout day for the May 11 Barretts sale in Southern California.

There were two colts that worked :9 4/5 May 7 during the first preview show.

The six youngster posting the fastest works May 8 were colts by Eurosilver   and Forestry  , and fillies by Yankee Gentleman  , Indian Charlie  , Chief Seattle  , and Roman Ruler  .

Both of the colts are consigned by Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables as agent. The Eurosilver   colt is the first foal out of the unraced Tiznow   mare Tiz the Hour. He was sold at the 2008 Keeneland September yearling sale by Ballinswood Sales, agent, and purchased by Greathouse Bloodstock for $100,000. At the Barretts March auction, he was bought back on a bid of $200,000.

The Forestry   colt is out of the stakes winning and graded stakes-placed Smart Strike   mare Wishful Splendor. He was sold by Lane’s End, agent, at the 2008 Keeneland September sale for $245,000 to B.T.A. Stable. The colt was withdrawn from the Fasig-Tipton Florida March sale.

The Yankee Gentleman   filly, consigned by Sam Hendricks, agent, is out of the winning Bertrando   mare Cajun Flash. She has never previously been sold at public auction.

The Indian Charlie   filly, consigned by Niall Brennan, agent, is out of the Star de Naskra mare Depelchin, the dam of six winners. The filly was consigned to the 2008 Fasig-Tipton July sale by Brandywine Farm, agent, and purchased by SEM Stable for $30,000. At the Ocala Breeders’ Sale Co.’s February sale, she was bought back on a bid of $87,000.

Consigned by Havens Bloodstock, agent, the Chief Seattle   filly is out of the Allen's Prospect mare Exceedtheprospect. She was consigned earlier this year by Havens Bloodstock to the Barretts January sale, and was listed as sold to Twin V Farm for $20,000.

The Roman Ruler   filly, consigned by Stephens Thoroughbreds, agent, is out of the stakes-placed Phone Trick mare Trickle Down. She was first cataloged to the 2007 Keeneland November sale by Legacy Bloodstock, agent, but was withdrawn. Consigned by Legacy to the 2008 Fasig-Tipton July sale, she was purchased by Bowling and Dodd for $37.000. Consigned by M&H Training and Sales, agent, to the OBS March auction, she was bought back for $40,000.
