Starry Pursuit has been retired from racing to become a broodmare for owners Peter Abruzzo and John Carver.

Bred in Kentucky by Tony Ocampo’s Rose Hill Farm, Starry Pursuit made her first start for Rose Hill and the remainder for Abruzzo and Carver while trained by Jerry Hollendorfer.

Four-year-old Starry Pursuit won five of seven races and earned $194,685. She captured last year’s Flawlessly and Manhattan Beach Stakes, both on turf at Hollywood Park.

By Van Nistelrooy, Starry Pursuit is out of the stakes-placed Naevus mare Star White, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Afrashad.

Starry Pursuit is booked to Medaglia d'Oro  , sire of Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) winner Rachel Alexandra.
