Trainer Joe Janiak said he is considering bringing top sprinter Takeover Target to the United States to contest the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint at Santa Anita, an Australian newspaper reported.

"A chap from Warner Bros. spoke with me at Randwick about running in the race and they are interested in making a movie," Janiak told the Courier-Mail of Australia.

"It is something we will have to talk about but it could be done."

According to the Courier-Mail, English film producer Brian Cook is in the process of writing a script for a movie on the top sprinter and will meet with representatives of the movie studio later in the year.

Janiak bought Takeover Target for $1,375 and the 10-year-old gelding by Celtic Swing has won 21 of 39 starts and earned $

4,619,792 (Australian funds). The champion sprinter has won eight group I races.

His most recent win was in the Distinctive Homes Goodwood Handicap (Aust-I) at Morphettville May 2. Takeover Target’s next goal is the KrisFlyer International Sprint (Sin-I) in Singapore, which he won last year.
