Monday morning at Churchill Downs was a busy day for horses getting in their final preparations for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I).
The following 3-year-olds worked after the 8:30 a.m. renovation break. The works were disrupted by a collision of two horses in front of the grandstand after one of the horses got loose. Neither of the horses involved were Derby contenders.

Chocolate Candy – five furlongs in :59 1/5
Pioneerof the Nile – five furlongs in 1:01
Join in the Dance - five furlongs in 1:00 1/5
