Midst is Closing Argument's First Winner

Midst, a bay filly out of Procure (by Quiet American) become Closing Argument’s first winner April 24 at Keeneland. She won a 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight wire-to-wire in :50.37 against 10 other rivals.

Closing Argument is a grade III-winning son of Successful Appeal, who began his stud career at Sequel Stallions in Florida and now stands for $12,500 at Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms.

Midst was bred in Florida by Eddie and Kim James. She was sold as a weanling for $40,000 at the 2007 Ocala Breeders’ Sales October mixed sale to South Bay Interests. Midst is now owned by Heiligbrodt Racing Stable and trained by Mark Casse.
