Grade II winner Western Pridesired his first winner when his daughter Straight Western won April 17 at Turf Paradise. Straight Western captured the 4 1/2-furlong race by a neck in :53.07 for owner Matt Keneley. In her two previous races, she was beaten a head both times.
 

Bred in Florida by William C. Schettine, Western Pride is the first foal from the Straight Manmare Straight Time.
