Morning Price, who is a member of the Holy Bull stallion Bull Market’s first crop, worked a quarter mile in :20 2/5 April 17 during the third session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. spring sale of 2-year-olds in training in Central Florida. It was the day’s fastest time for the distance.
Consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, agent, Morning Price is out of the 14-year-old Relaunch mare Stock Price and is a half-brother to three winners. He is from the family of champion Epitome, French champion Green Forest, and grade II winner Essence of Dubai.
Sergio Centeno purchased Morning Price as a weanling for $1,000 at the 2007 OBS fall mixed auction.
The quickest time for an eighth of a mile was :9 4/5, and seven horses turned in that clocking. They included a More Than Ready – Sweet Betsy colt consigned by Nick de Meric, agent; a Prime Timber– Tallulah Belle colt consigned by SAB Training, agent; a Sky Mesa – Thunder Warmth colt consigned by Bloodstock Management; and Jet Blue Girl, a Gimmeawink – Tori’s Portia filly consigned by SAB Training, agent. The others were a Hold That Tiger– Abby Curestheblues colt consigned by Leprechaun Racing, agent; a Five Star Day – And filly consigned by Solitary Oak, agent; and a Red Bullet– Sister Greeley filly consigned by Hayden Thoroughbreds, agent.
Lionson, a Lion Heart– Achari colt, set the pace at three furlongs, turning in a time of :33. He is consigned by Crupi’s New Castle Farm, agent.
The fourth and final session of the under tack show is scheduled for April 18, beginning at 8 a.m. (EDT) and will feature horses listed as Hip Nos. 1045-1389 in the auction’s catalog. The sale will be held April 20-23.
