Central Kentucky stallion Woodman and Irish stallion Sadler's Wells reached new levels in mid-July. Woodman (Mr. Prospector--Playmate, by Buckpasser) was represented by his 75th stakes winner when his 3-year-old son Illusioned won the $250,000 Carry Back Stakes at Calder Race Course on July 14 for his fourth win in five starts. Woodman stands at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky.
Two days later, Sadler's Wells reached No. 175 when his 3-year-old son Carnival Dancer took the Sodexho Prestige Scottish Classic (Eng-III). Sadler's Wells (Northern Dancer--Fairy Bridge, by Bold Reason) now trails all-time leader Mr. Prospector by a single added-money winner. He stands at Ashford's parent outfit, Coolmore Stud.
