A son of Omega Code breezed an eighth of a mile in :9 4/5 April 15 during the first session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. spring sale of 2-year-olds in training in Central Florida. It was the fastest work for the distance.
Consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm, agent, the dark bay or brown colt is out of the 9-year-old unraced Notebook mare Magic Show, who is from the family of grade III winner Crowned Dancer. H.H.T.S. bought the colt for $40,000 at the 2008 Keeneland September yearling auction.
The quickest worker at a quarter mile was Living Lavida Leta, a daughter of Johannesburg, with a clocking of :20 3/5. Consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, the filly is out of the 9-year-old stakes-placed Conquistador Cielo mare Living Lavida Lisa, who is a half-sister to added-money winner Itsacryingshame. Dr. Barry Eisaman and his wife, Shari, who operate Eisaman Equine, bred the filly in the name of EICO Stable.
