Pat Day is one of several retired riders in a newly formed marketing group.

Retired jockeys Laffit Pincay Jr., Pat Day, Steve Cauthen, Jean Cruguet, and Ron Turcotte have banded together to offer individuals, organizations, and businesses a one-stop online venue where they can explore marketing opportunities that include the riders.

Derbylegends.com provides information about the riders and lists the services they offer, including endorsement possibilities, personal consultation, memorabilia for purchase, and even handicapping opinions.

“Derbylegends.com offers industry insiders and outside interests a quick and convenient platform where you can learn more about their careers and the assistance they can offer your organization,” said the online venue’s founder, Leonard Lusky, in a statement. “You can even present your proposal directly to any of them, and if your first choice isn’t available, a second is one click away.”

Said Day, who retired in 2005, “I think derbylegends.com is a smart and effective way to pull together our resources. I am looking forward to connecting with fans, the racing community, and interested parties in this unified and professional forum.”

Lusky added that plans are in place to grow the roster of Thoroughbred personalities featured on the site.
