The Heath Brook Project in central Florida moved closer to a possible ground breaking date after the developer completed the purchase of 70 acres of Dudley Farm on Friday. The development by Boca Raton-based land developer Richard Siemens will transform 909-acres of Bonnie Heath, Dudley, and Tartan Farms into commercial and residential properties.
“We have mixed emotions. We put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the farm for the past 30 years,” said Diane Dudley. “It's a good deal for both parties.”
Closing dates are set for this week on additional acreage of Bonnie Heath and Tartan Farms. “We intend to start the land development sometime in August. There will be a year's worth of development before the project is open for sale,” said Siemens. The land will be developed in several phases, according to Siemens, who said the first tract would be about 500 acres.
