Multiple graded stakes winner Chatain   has been retired from racing and is entering stud this year at William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Texas near Hempstead, Texas. Gerry from Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent. She raced for Gerry's Lazy F Ranch.

Chatain is out of the multiple stakes-winning Red Ransom mare Roujoleur. He won six of nine starts from ages 3 through 5 and earned $276,330 while trained by Angel Penna Jr.

After breaking his maiden in his first start at Gulfstream Park, Chatain won an allowance race at Meadowlands by 10 lengths in his third outing.
