Six-year-old mares bred in Argentina finished first and second in the Vanity handicap at Hollywood Park on July 18, 1993, as jockey Eddie Delahoussaye rode Re Toss from off the pace for a 1 1/4-length triumph over champion Paseana. The winner, trained by Henry Moreno for owners Arthur and Larry Risdon, was the 7-2 second choice and carried 115 pounds, 11 fewer than 7-10 favorite Paseana. Despite winning only three of eight starts, Paseana retained her Eclipse Award as champion older filly or mare, as her victories were all in grade I company while carrying top weight and she just missed winning the Breeders' Cup Distaff, which went to to champion 3-year-old filly Hollywood Wildcat.
