Pfizer Contributes to NTRA Safety Effort

The National Thoroughbred Racing Association announced April 6 that the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance has received a contribution of $50,000 from Pfizer Animal Health.

“Pfizer Animal Health is proud to support the work of the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance in its efforts towards improved health and wellness for the equine athletes,” said Kristin Ruff, Equine Sr. Marketing Manager at Pfizer Animal Health. “We salute the NTRA for its work over the years on behalf of all equines.”

In 2008, Pfizer Animal Health teamed up with the NTRA Charities – Barbaro Memorial Fund to raise funds and increase awareness of the need for equine health and safety research. Pfizer Animal Health will continue to support equine medical research under the umbrella of the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance.

“Pfizer Animal Health’s generous leadership contribution is just the latest example of its strong commitment to the health and safety of our Thoroughbred race horses,” said Alex Waldrop, President and CEO of the NTRA.
