Mingun Sires First Winner Irish group winner Mingun was represented by his first winner when his initial starter, his juvenile son Coo Cachoo, won April 2 at Santa Anita. The colt set the pace and captured the two-furlong maiden special weight race by three-quarters of a length in :21.10 (VIDEO). He is owned by trainer Blake Heap, Rick and Mary Bassett, and John Mihaljevich. Bred in Kentucky by Caldara Farm in partnership with Thorp Investments & Mitan Investments, Coo Cachoo is the first foal out of the winning Petionville mare Danse Kongo. Mingun (A.P. Indy—Miesque, by Nureyev) stands alongside his sire and his half-brother, Kingmambo, at William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Ky. Mingun's fee is $5,000.
