(Edtied press release)

In accord with American Graded Stakes Committee policy, the March 21 renewal of the Pan American Stakes (gr. IIIT), scheduled for the Gulfstream Park turf course, but switched to the main track, was automatically downgraded from a grade III to ungraded status and was conducted as an ungraded stakes race.

After reviewing the off-the-turf renewal, however, the American Graded Stakes Committee has determined the original grade III status will be reinstated for this renewal.

The winner of the race, Buddy's Humor, should be credited with a grade III win, and the second- and third-place finishers, Presious Passion and Sligovitz, should be credited with grade III placings.
