Citing the success of foals from his first crop that raced in 2008 and increased demand, Millennium Farms announced the stud fee for Even the Score  has been doubled from $7,500 to $15,000 for any additional mares booked to the stallion for the 2009 breeding season.

“Due to the overwhelming demand for Even the Score, his prominence as a freshman sire, and the fact that his book is essentially full for 2009, we will accept a few more quality mares at the $15,000 fee,” said Ro Parra, owner of Millennium Farms.
 
From 33 starters in 2008, Even the Score was represented by 14 winners racing on dirt, turf, and all-weather surfaces.  He was the sixth leading Kentucky-based freshman sire last year and seventh among all first-crop sires in the Northern Hemisphere.  Among his progeny are current Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) hopeful Take the Points, runner-up in the grade III Sham Stakes,  and Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) hopeful Four Gifts, who won the grade III Delta Princess Stakes.

A gray son of Unbridled’s Song out of the Rahy   mare Ashtabula, Even the Score won or placed in 19 of 29 lifetime starts, earning $751,629. As a 6-year-old, he won the Californian Stakes (gr. II) and Mervyn LeRoy Handicap (gr. II), and was third in the grade I Hollywood Gold Cup.
