(From Fair Grounds)

The field for the $600,000 Louisiana Derby (gr. II)  was reduced by one on March 12 as Fair Grounds officials learned that My Meadowview Farm’s Nowhere to Hide will be scratched.
Nowhere to Hide, who was fourth in the Risen Star Stakes (gr. III) on Feb. 7, will instead run in the Tampa Bay Derby (gr. III) – which goes to post on March 14, the same day as the Louisiana Derby. He is trained by Nick Zito.
A field of nine will remain for the Louisiana Derby, with Friesan Fire and Patena expected to go off as the favorites.
