Retired DRF Writer Omenson Dead

Dale Omenson, a retired Daily Racing Form columnist and desk editor, died March 8 of a heart attack, according to the Form. Omenson, who was living in Las Vegas, was 68.

Omenson, who worked for the Form for two decades, covered racing at Bay Meadows, Golden Gate Fields, and the California fair circuit. He retired in 2001.
