Texas horseman Keith Asmussen has been named to the advisory board of ThoroFan, an independent not-for-profit organization that aims “to provide Thoroughbred racing fans with a voice and an organization that will actively support their interests.”

Asmussen is the founder and proprietor of Asmussen Horse Center in Laredo, Texas. His wife, Marilyn, heads the sales division and his two sons –retired jockey Cash Asmussen and trainer Steve Asmussen -- have each earned Eclipse Awards.
