By watching the March 11 edition of “And They’re Off” on BloodHorse.com, viewers can win a morning on the Churchill Downs backstretch Derby week. Along with hosts Lenny Shulman and Steve Haskin, one lucky winner will see the Derby horses and meet their owners and trainers. All it takes is correctly answering the trivia question that Lenny and Steve will present on the video, which will be up on the BloodHorse.com web site at approximately 7 p.m. March 11. On the April 15 edition of “And They’re Off,” a winner will be picked from all those who answered correctly. Consolation prizes will include autographed copies of Steve’s books.
Anyone interested in entering the contest should already be planning to attend the Derby. Blood-Horse Publications is not responsible for any costs the winner may incur to get to Churchill Downs Thursday, April 30. Steve and Lenny will meet the winner early that morning and escort him/her around the backstretch, where the winner can soak up the Derby atmosphere and observe what happens behind the scenes as Derby fever mounts. A breakfast at either the track kitchen or the famous Wagner’s Pharmacy will be included.
The trivia question will relate to Kentucky Derby history.
