Portland Meadows Adds March 30-31 Dates

Portland Meadows has added two live programs on March 30 and 31 to replace two other cards lost recently due to poor track conditions.

“We wanted to make up for those two cancelled days and give the horseman some more chances to run their horses,” said Jerry Kohls, the track's assistant general manager.

The lost dates included the second half of the March 2 program and the entire card on March 3.

Portland Meadows' signature race of the season, the $30,000 Portland Mile, is scheduled March 23 as part of a program that will also feature the $18,000 Donna Jenson Handicap.
