Fairmount Park, which recently put in place a zero tolerance policy on slaughter, will host an April 23 fundraiser to benefit its newly established Thoroughbred adoption program, Racehorse Alternative Choice Environment.
The event, called “Horsin’ Around,” will include a kickoff dinner, live music, silent auction, and guest speakers. All proceeds will go to RACE, which is being implemented by the Illinois Horsemen’s Benevolent Protective Association.
Horsin’ Around will take place in Fairmount’s Black Stallion Room in Collinsville, Ill. April 23 at 6:30 p.m. To make a donation or to purchase tickets, call (618) 345-7724.
