Headley Bell, managing partner at Mill Ridge Farm, announced Feb. 23 the addition of Mike Recio as sales and stallion director.

“Mike provides a blend of horsemanship with sales and stallion experience. I feel he will continue to care for our wonderful clientele... and provide opportunity for new relationships in the future,” said Bell.

Recio began working in the horse business with his father, Bill Recio breaking and training young stock in Ocala, Fla. A graduate of the equine program at the University of Louisville, Recio worked at the Taylor family's Taylor Made for six years in sales and client development, and for the past two years with Frank Stronach's Adena Springs and its stallion program.

“It is truly an honor and privilege to be joining such a wonderful organization that is rich in history such as Mill Ridge Farm," Recio said. "The staff they have and tradition for raising and selling race horses is unparalleled in our business."
