El Campo, a Deputy Minister grandson, has been retired from racing for stallion duty at Dr. William C. Day’s Cedar Creek Farm near Brenham, Texas.
A 5-year-old son of Forest Camp, El Campo won 14 races and placed in a dozen others from 35 races. He earned $169,055.
El Campo is out of the winning Rahy mare Casco Passage, who is a half-sister to stakes winners Storm’s Darling, Sinceilostmybaby, and Super Forbes.
A fee will be announced later.
