Jasmine Baggerman, a veteran horsewoman, died Feb. 9. She was 49.

Originally from Canada, Baggerman came to Ocala 10 years ago and quickly became an important part of the industry working with prominent Florida and Kentucky breeders at the sales. She was also employed by the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. as an outrider during the 2-year-olds-in-training season.

Baggerman is survived by her parents, John and Mieke Baggerman, plus two brothers and two sisters. A memorial service will be held at the OBS Pavilion Monday, Feb. 16, at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Ocala Farm Ministry, P.O. Box 770923, Ocala, Fla., 34477. Call 237-8149 for the Jasmine Baggerman Memorial Fund to benefit the NARA, National American Racing Academy.
