Stardom Bound, the runaway 2-year-old filly Eclipse champion of 2008, worked five furlongs at Santa Anita Feb. 1 in preparation for her 3-year-old debut in the Las Virgenes Stakes (gr. I) Feb. 7.

Currently in the barn of Bobby Frankel, the Tapit   filly was timed in 1:02 over the Pro-Ride surface as she prepares for the one-mile Las Virgenes. Stardom Bound is now owned by IEAH Stables, who paid $5.7 million for her in the Fasig-Tipton November select sale.

Previously owned by Charles Cono and trained by Christopher Paasch, Stardom Bound won three of five starts as a 2-year-old, completing her campaign with an impressive victory in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) at Oak Tree Oct. 24. She also won the Oak Leaf (gr. I) at Santa Anita and the Del Mar Debutante while earning $1,420,600.

A gray/roan filly, from the first crop by Tapit out of the Tarr Road mare My White Corvette, Stardom Bound is expected to be transferred to trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. later this year.
