Maraahel to Trinidad and Tobago

Maraahel, an English group II winner, has been retired from racing and is scheduled to be sent to Trinidad and Tobago.

An Irish-bred 8-year-old son of Alzao, Maraahel raced as a homebred for Sheikh Hamdan. Bred by Shadwell Estate Company, Maraahel won or placed in 18 group stakes in England and was group I-placed in Hong Kong. He captured the Hardwicke Stakes (Eng-II) in 2006-07. He was retired with earnings of $1,945,126,

Maraahel is out of the Nashwan mare Nasanice. A decision will be made later as to where he will enter stud.
