Grade I winner Proud Tower Too, who stood at stud in 2008 and then was returned to training, has been retired again. He will stand at Tricar Farms near Anthony, N.M.

A Tricar homebred, Proud Tower Too was returned to training after standing last year at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds near Santa Ynez, Calif. He covered 18 mares.

“He looked so good last summer that we decided to return him to training,” said farm manager and trainer Sal Gonzalez. “He was doing great, working five furlongs in :59 and six in 1:12 at Sunland Park, before he came down with an inflamed tendon.”

Seven-year-old Proud Tower Too (Proud Irish--Dora’s Tower, by Irish Tower) won three stakes, including the 2005 Malibu Stakes (gr. I), and earned $1,735,572. He also was voted a sprint championship after winning the 2006 Gulf News Dubai Golden Shaheen (UAE-I).  His 2009 fee is private.
