English Channel

The first foal sired by Eclipse Award winner English Channel  is a filly born Jan. 8. The filly’s dam, Chilean champion and classic winner Ser O No Ser (by Golden Voyager), is owned by John Stuart and Jose De Camargo’s Santa Escolastica. The newborn is Ser O No Ser’s fourth offspring.

English Channel (Smart Strike  --Belva, by Theatrical) was named champion turf male after winning the 2007 John Deere Breeders’ Cup Turf (gr. IT). He stands at Ben Walden's Hurricane Hall near Lexington. His 2009 fee is $25,000.
