In accordance with American Graded Stakes Committee policy, the Dec. 26 renewal of the grade III Sir Beaufort Stakes, scheduled for the Santa Anita Park turf course, but switched to the main track, was automatically downgraded to ungraded status and was conducted as an ungraded stakes race.

The committee has reviewed the off-the-turf renewal, however, and has determined that the original grade III status will be reinstated for this renewal.

The winner of the race, Gio Ponti, will be credited with a grade III win, and the second- and third-place finishers Medjool and El Gato Malo should be credited with grade III placings.
