British TBA Awards Announced (Edited press release) That award was one of two special honors revealed at the event, with veteran bloodstock writer Alan Yuill Walker receiving the Dominion Bronze. Among the best horses bred by Percival was Millkom, a dual group I winner in France who went on to capture the 1995 Man O’War Stakes (gr. IT) at Belmont Park. In conjunction with Gibson, Percival has also stood several successful stallions, including Petong and Mummy’s Pet, and he now has shares in stallions with Richard Kent at Mickley Stud in Shropshire. Walker, 70, a longtime member Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, received the Dominion Bronze for making major contributions behind the scenes of the breeding world. Walker has contributed to Horse and Hound since the mid 1960s, and his work has appeared in other such publications as British Racehorse, Stud And Stable, the Bloodstock Breeders’ Review, Pacemaker, The Sunday Times, Weatherbys’ Bulletin, and the Thoroughbred Owner & Breeder.
