Stardom Bound Could Run in Las Virgenes
(from Santa Anita track notes) Stardom Bound, the Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) winner and likely the divisional champion, could make her 3-year-old debut in the $300,000 Las Virgenes Stakes (gr. I) at one mile on Feb. 7, new trainer Bobby Frankel said. Stardom Bound, trained by Christopher Paasch when she won the Juvenile Fillies, worked four furlongs on Pro-Ride Dec. 28 in :47 1/5. Stardom Bound won three grade I races as a juvenile. Frankel said that he will train Stardom Bound during her campaign at Santa Anita, while Rick Dutrow will take over when the filly moves to the East Coast |
