TVG has expanded its presence in online video content by announcing syndication relationships with blinkx.com and sling.com, the horse racing network announced Dec. 16.
Blinkx is described by TVG as the world’s largest video search engine, and sling.com as a “ground-breaking” on-demand video entertainment destination. The two platforms will join youtube.com and hulu.com in carrying TVG-related content, according to a press release.
"The demand for online access to horseracing is steadily growing," David Nathanson, president of TVG, said in the release. “We've partnered with the most innovative broadband portals to ensure that horseracing fans can bring home the action of TVG on the platform of their choice."
More than 66-million unique visitors use blinkx.com monthly, while the arrangement with newly-launched sling.com will reach additional audiences and encourage sharing TVG content virally through social networks, the release said.
TVG Network delivers programming to nearly 31 million households in the U.S. in addition to more than 20 million households overseas. The network's online content offers on-demand, short-form programming including interviews with celebrities and horseracing personalities, expert analysis, handicapping information and features about the sport of horseracing.
