Sarava, the 2002 Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner, was represented by his first winner when Belo Sorte won Dec. 5 at Turfway Park. The colt captured the six-furlong race in 1:13.43 for West Point Thoroughbreds in his second start.

Bred in Florida by Gary Drake and Susan Roy, Belo Sorte is out of the Holy Bull  mare Just Gorgeous, a half-sister to grade II winner Call Me Up.

Sarava, who ended the Triple Crown threat of War Emblem in winning the Belmont, stands at Eddie Martin’s Martin Stables South near Reddick, Fla. By Wild Again, Sarava is out of the Deputy Minister mare Rhythm of Life.
