Oklahoma Stallion Wild Tale Dead

Wild Tale, who entered stud in 2008 at Dr. Warren Center’s Mighty  Acres near Pryor, Okla., died from liver problems Dec. 3. The 7-year-old son of Tale of the Cat  out of the Wild Again mare Young and Wild covered 30 mares his first season.

Bred in Kentucky by Don McNeill, Wild Tale won or placed in 16 of 30 races and earned $333,030. His added-money win came in the Harvey Arneault Memorial Breeders’ Cup Handicap.
