Shark, a stakes-placed son of Danzig whose first two dams are champions, will enter stud at Dr. William J. Solomon’s Pin Oak Lane Farm near New Freedom, Pa., in 2009. His stud fee will be announced later.

An Overbrook Farm homebred, Shark won at Churchill Downs in 1:09.56 for six furlongs and was a sprint winner on turf.  He ran second in the 2007 Kentucky Cup Turf Dash and Delta Express Stakes. He won or placed in 13 of 27 races and earned $183,076.

Shark is out of 2000 champion 3-year-old filly Surfside (by Seattle Slew). His second dam, Flanders, was champion 2-year-old filly of 1994.
