Four Sins Leads Way at Goffs

Four Sins, winner of the Irish National Stud Blandford (Ire-II) and Blue Wind (Ire-III) Stakes in 2007, brought 620,000 euros to top the opening session of the Goffs November breeding stock sale in Ireland. John McCormack Bloodstock purchased the 4-year-old German-bred Sinndar – Four Roses filly Nov. 22 from the Aga Khan Studs. She is in foal to Dansili.

Emerald Bloodstock bought the 4-year-old Unbridled’s Song filly Bestowal for 240,000 euros from Darley. Group III winner Chiming (by Danehill) sold for 240,000 euros to Marlhill House Stud, which purchased her from J K Thoroughbreds. In foal to Montjeu, she was part of the Swordlestown Stud draft.

The 171 horses sold (from 260 offered) grossed 5,954,000 euros and averaged 34,819 euros. The second and final session of the auction is Nov. 23.

During the first session of the 2007 edition of the November breeding stock sale, which ran for three days, the 157 horses sold grossed 7,415,500 euros and averaged 47,232 euros.
