Seasons, Art Auction to Benefit TCA

Thoroughbred Charities of America will conduct its 19th Annual Stallion Season and Art Auction Friday, Dec. 5 at the Keeneland Entertainment Center in Lexington.

The cocktail party begins at 6 p.m., with artists’ donations from London to California. Included in the silent auction are halters from top race horses including Storm Cat and Big Brown, John Deere vehicles, a six-person golf car and Caribbean vacations. 

A live auction will be conducted by Fasig-Tipton volunteers during dinner, with including stallion seasons including Big Brown, Bernardini, Elusive Quality  , Hard Spun  , Street Boss  , Tapit, and Tiznow  . Also to be auctioned are a Dubai World Cup tour, two Porsche Carreras, Triple Crown race tickets, and an original work of art by Andre Pater, “Study of Hard Spun." The Jimmy Church Band will perform afterward.

Four-time Eclipse Award winning trainer Todd Pletcher will be honored with the TCA Charity Leadership Award, and Dot Morgan, founder and executive director of New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program, will receive the TCA Industry Service Award.
