Goffs’ seven-day November sale gets under way at Kill, Co. Kildare, Ireland Nov. 16. There are 1,281 lots catalogued for the foal section running from Nov. 16 to Nov. 20, with trade likely to be highly selective from wary pinhookers before the better offerings appear later in the week.
Many eyes will be on lot 1245, the only living foal by George Washington. The half-sister to grade I Garden City Breeders’ Cup runner-up Flawly was bred by the Luciani family in Italy and is consigned through the Irish National Stud.
Lots 486 and 487 also have novelty value. The two Orpen colts, offered by breeder Michael Finn from Drummond House Stables, are twins.
There are 602 mares in the auction's breeding stock section Nov. 21 and 22, with many of the most sought after lots likely to be among The Aga Khan’s consignment. These include lot 1447, Four Sins, last season’s group II National Stakes winner and Epsom Oaks (Eng-I) fourth. She is offered with a Dansili cover.
