Walmac Announces Fees; Most Decrease

Walmac announced its 2009 stud fees Nov. 7, with Successful Appeal among the many whose price will be reduced in the coming year. Successful Appeal will stand for $22,500, down from $40,000.
Walmac, owned by Johnny Jones III and Bobby Trussell, will stand 10 stallions next year at their farm located near Lexington, Ky. In addition, Walmac will stand four at Hartley/DeRenzo, Walmac South in Florida, and four at Regal Heir Farm in Pennsylvania.
Two new stallions will stand at the Kentucky farm, Ready’s Image and Salute the Sarge, who will stand for $12,500 and $7,500, respectively.
Also at the Kentucky farm, Songandaprayer will stand for $22,500, down from $25,000. The other Kentucky stallions are: Bandini, who will stand for $15,000 ($17,500 in 2008); Cactus Ridge, $6,000 ($8,500); Hat Trick, $12,500 ($15,000); Soto, $5,000 ($7,500); Tenpins, $6,500 ($6,500); and Tropical Storm, $5,000 ($5,000).
Three of the Florida stallions will stand for the same fee in 2009 as they did in 2008: Full Mandate ($5,000); Omega Code ($7,500); and Roar of the Tiger ($6,000). Pavarotti will drop from $6,500 to $5,000.
One Great Cat will stand his first season in 2009, commanding a fee of $4,500 in Pennsylvania. Two others there will have the same fee as this year, Ecclesiastic at $5,000 and Senor Swinger at $4,000. Eavesdropper will stand for $5,000, down from $7,500.
