Jackie Davis, daughter of retired jockey Robbie Davis, recorded her first career victory Nov. 5 in Aqueduct’s fifth race aboard Blue Hill Bay for trainer Scott Everett. Blue Hill Bay led all the way the around oval and returned $131 for a $2 win ticket.

Davis, 20, is among the first to graduate from the North American Riding Academy, a Kentucky-based riding school established in 2006 by Hall of Fame jockey Chris McCarron. Davis completed the internship portion of her schooling with Hall of Fame trainer Allen Jerkens.
“I was looking around, wondering, ‘Where is everybody?’” said Davis, who made her debut Aug. 31. “The feeling was awesome. It was even better than I imagined.”
Robbie Davis, who retired in 2002, recorded more than 3,000 riding victories during his 21-year career, which began in 1981. Both father and daughter reside in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Jackie and Robbie were featured in an exclusive Blood-Horse feature earlier this year.
