Grade I winner and millionaire Student Council  has been retired from racing for stallion duty at Ro Parra’s Millennium Farms Kentucky near Lexington. His fee is $17,500, down from the previous announced $20,000.

During his career, Student Council won the Maryland Lottery Pimlico Special Handicap (gr. I), Pacific Classic Stakes (gr. I), plus the Hawthorne Gold Cup (gr. II) and Maxxam Gold Cup Handicaps. His 112 Beyer Speed Figure earned in a runner-up effort in this year’s Whitney Handicap (gr. I) at Saratoga is the co-third-highest of the year in races beyond a mile on the main track and the same that Curlin recorded in one of his wins.
 

Student Council won or placed in 16 of 31 races and earned $1,567,731. He is by Kingmambo out of graded winner Class Kris (by Kris S.) and is a half-brother to graded winner Gradepoint.
