Grade I winner Alwajeeha has been retired from racing to become a broodmare for owner Sheikh Hamdan at his Shadwell Farm near Lexington.

A 3-year-old homebred, Alwajeeha captured the Oct. 11 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes (gr. IT) at Keeneland in what was her final start. She won the Appalachian Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Keeneland in the spring and was retired with three wins and three seconds from nine starts and earnings of $486,927.

Alwajeeha is by Dixieland Band out of the winning Seattle Slew mare Ridaa.
