Barretts March Sale to Have One Preview

There will be one under tack show prior to Barretts’ 2009 March select sale of 2-year-olds in training instead of two as in the past.

The Southern California will be conducted March 10 on the grounds of Fairplex Park, and the under tack show will be held March 5.

 “We’ve always had to be sensitive to weather influences on our track,” said Jerry McMahon, Barretts’ president and general manager, “and that means we’ll have to be flexible about the day we actually work.”

McMahon added that Barretts was working with Fasig-Tipton, Keeneland, and OBS regarding uniform rules for the use of the whip during training previews.
