Multiple graded stakes winner Zavata   will stand the 2009 breeding season at Dr. William J. Solomon's Pin Oak Lane Farm near New Freedom, Pa. His stud fee will be announced later.

A $575,000 Fasig-Tipton Florida February 2-year-old, Zavata was one of the top juvenile sprinters of 2002. He won the Saratoga Special (gr. II) and Tremont (gr. III) Stakes by a combined 13 1/2 lengths  and placed in the Hopeful (gr. I) and Three Chimneys Juvenile Stakes. At 3, he took the six-furlong Amsterdam Stakes (gr. II) in 1:08.64.

In 2007, Zavata (Phone Trick--Pert Lady, by Cox’s Ridge) was a leading freshman sire by number of 2-year-old winners, with 14. He is the sire of 2008 stakes-placed runners Dakota Phone and Secret Talent, plus last year’s stakes-placed performer Almendrado. His progeny earnings total $1 million. Grade I winner Dixie Union appears under his third dam.

Zavata formerly stood at John T.L. Jones III's Walmac Farm near Lexington.
