Highclere Thoroughbred Racing’s dual grade III winner Regime (Ire) (by Golan {Ire}) topped the Oct. 27 opening session of the Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale in Newmarket when selling for 200,000gns to agent Anthony Stroud.
The 4-year-old is set to join leading Saudi trainer Faihan Al Mandeel and could deliver a seventh success in the country’s famous King’s Cup race at Riyadh.
Stroud also paid 180,000gns for 4-year-old Vincenzio Galilei (by Galileo {Ire}), as a Dubai Carnival prospect.
Former trainer David Loder was also on the lookout for a Dubai challenger, and he spent 180,000gns on seven-time winner Russki (Ire), who carried a Timeform rating of 112 following an easy last start victory at Kempton. The Fasliyev colt was consigned by David Simcock’s Trillium Place Stables in Newmarket. The sale continues Oct. 28 at 9:30 a.m.
