James Tafel's Unshaded worked five furlongs in 1:01 over a fast track at Churchill Downs on Tuesday in preparation for the July 1 Suburban Handicap at Belmont Park.

"He's doing great," trainer Carl Nafzger said of Unshaded, fifth in Churchill's Stephen Foster Handicap in his most recent effort. "We're moving forward."

Unshaded is scheduled to leave for New York on Thursday.

Another Stephen Foster participant, sixth-place finisher Da Devil, also worked at Churchill on Tuesday, getting a half-mile in :50. Trainer Forest Kaelin said Da Devil could make his next appearance in the July 7 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker.
