Kheleyf Colt Shines in Tatts' Book 3

A 72,000-guinea Kheleyf colt was the top lot during the opening session of Book 3 of the Tattersalls October yearling sale in England Oct. 16. Susan Hearn’s Mascalls Stud had bought the colt for 10,500 guineas at Tattersalls in February, and he was resold to Italian agent Marco Bozzi.

The yearling is out of the Titus Livius mare Livius Lady.

The 175 horses that sold (from 257 offered) grossed 2,012,500 guineas and averaged 11,500 guineas. Their median price was 8,000 guineas.

The sale’s will end Oct. 17 with sessions that begin in the morning and in the late afternoon.
